Yes, but my anger stems from the fact that, as of this afternoon, part of the order was out for shipment, the rest had a shipping order created, but hadn’t been picked up yet.
So a week later, it’s all paid for, freight is paid for, and it has not made it on a truck yet?
It’s kinda hard for companies to lie when all the shipping companies scan things every stop.
Oh yeah, they scan things every stop, and then do nothing with it.
Shipping companies SUCK. Pretty much all of them anymore. We deal with more shipping claims and shortages than we ever have before, started about 3-4 months ago to get really bad.
I get it guys, I do. I bet on a daily basis I order and need to have shipped more than some people do in a month, and on the other side of the coin, we ship out between 30-40 packages and shipments a day. It's a full time job for 1 person at our dealership to handle shipments and shipping problems. Just because a shipping company hasn't "scanned" it in a facility yet, doesn't mean it's 100% All states fault, I've seen that before on packages I KNOW we loaded here.
As far as the supply chain still being in shambles, if you think that's an excuse, you need to move out from under your rock! Some things are better than they were a year ago, but some are much worse. Better hope you don't need big truck parts, they are a real bear. AG has had things pretty good because of all the priority it had during the 2020 Covid crap that some industries never had. Now, are some people using it as an excuse, maybe...but does it not exist, no, it's still a real pain to get a lot of items we need. Also, if you think someone should just be able to pull one out of thin air, then try that yourself sometime, and then try it for 30 different customers at the same time. Every day I have to search for an alternative part, substitute part, aftermarket part, etc for some customer of ours. I've been doing my job for more than 20 years, so I know a lot of places to try...as we talked about in the parts guy rant a few months ago, not everyone does. I know that sucks as well, so support your people that support you, even if it costs a few bucks more!
