Subject: RE: Fall lambing

Southwest MN
I will breed these back to lamb in 8 months. The plan is to only breed ewes to accelerate if they give me twins or less in the previous lambing. Trying to bring my bottom end up to 7 lambs in 2 years most of these girls are at 9-11 lambs born in 2 years. If they give me a set of triplets I will let them skip a cycle. We select for longevity so I am curious. My last report I ran my average cull ewe age is just shy of 5 years and this is based on a 300% lamb crop goal a customer that does not flush his ewes from my genetics is at a 7 year average cull out. But he drops a 2.25 lamb crop also.
