| The Midtech tilt comp will work with any GPS that outputs a std nema data string. You need a 9 pin serial connection between the GPS and lightbar(or autosteer unit). It is not really $500, unless you have a Midtech Legacy (other Midtech controllers may also work) or Farmworks Site Mate to set the antenna height and tilt level. I got one believing (I was wrong, it will not react fast enough) that it would smooth out the auto steer unit when in rough fields. We normally run between 10 and 20 mph. Raven has a new tiny (about 1/4 the size of the Midtech one) 9 pin connected tilt unit that is not affected by temperature like the lightbar unit, but the only way I know to set it up is with an Envisio. I have been told by someone who should know that the T2 will smooth out roll caused by bumps. | |
