Dad has always used ground rings. Refused to change, absolutely stuck in his ways.
Last summer we bought him a pair of J&L Hay Savers as a birthday/retirement gift. Went with the version with a rubber tire base and no floor.
He was reluctant, didn’t like the idea, etc etc.
After a winter of use, he’s a believer. Cut his hay usage in half. Essentially no waste. For him to make a change in his management it must be something extremely impressive, and that was one of the few things ever to do it.
