They are part owners of the Gima transmission plant that Massey use. Word on the street says they work better in Claas tractors. Claas's CVT is C-Matic.

Their larger tractors use FPT engines, which seem to have a good reputation.

This from the Claas Website:

CMATIC stands for infinitely variable split-power transmissions in CLAAS tractors, from the ARION 500 through to the flagship XERION 5000. CLAAS develops and builds the CVT transmissions for the ARION 500 and 600, i.e. the EQ 200 and EQ 220, internally at CLAAS Industrietechnik in Paderborn.

All CMATIC transmissions offer easy and safe operation as well as high efficiency, and they have proven to be very durable. In the XERION and AXION 900, CMATIC transmission technology is additionally combined with efficient low engine speed design concepts. A smart anti-jackknife braking system interacts with the tractor’s compressed air brake system to ensure the safe operation of braked trailers on slopes.
