Subject: Cereal rye, baling for feed

NW Iowa
Will have some cereal rye cover crop drilled in this fall on beans stubble. Would love to take it for feed in May sometime. Doesn't seem realistic for it to dry down completely, so how does it work to wrap bales? Would it be like packed corn silage in there, or would it rot?
