We run a hypertherm powermax 30. We do a lot of fab work on 3/16 and lighter, some 1/4". We considered a larger unit and i would advise it for 1/4 and above, works fine for us just a little slower on the heavy steel. Big plus on ours is the kit came with both 110 and 220 plugs. It will run on either. For us, 110v power is easier to find. Also, in researching, hypertherm is the founders of plasma cutting. Great unit and i would reccommend.
