southern colorado | thanks for the help . my original problem was intermittent three point problems then no steering then tractor would not move at all. paid ih mechanic 250..00 to diagnose problem and he said my flex plate must be shot. split tractor two days ago no flex plate problem. next he said bring in the rear pump if it is bad then it probably took other pump out also. rear pump looks good going to look at front pump today. wonder why ih mechanic did not put some gauges on it in the first place.the tractor is not used too much but it at least chops straw each year.rebuilt motor and trans on tractor very recently about 7500hrs on tractor.plan on keeping it for odd jobs it would not be worth much on a trade.thought it might be a problem with priority flow divider now steering away from that.mechanic keeps talking about compensation valve on pump but it looked ok not sure piston is moving back and forth properly.thanks gary | |
