Later model equipment will have a 13 didgit serial #. For instance RW8300P020112 (random).
RW means it was built in Waterloo at the tractor factory there (LV means Augusta GA, and LO means Mannheim Germany)
8300 is obviously the model.
P refers to the transmission, powershift in this case. H is usually a Quad range, R is either a Reverser Powerquad or sometimes denotes an IVT.
The last 6 numbers will determine year model, but not in any way that YOU can read. In the case of 8XXX's 12K started the 97 model year, 20K started the 98 model year (these were years of large changes, all to the same engine in 97 and upgraded transmission cases in 98).
