Not sure the "Brass Tag" really means anything at all...IIRC, the factory used various tag materials at any given time, depending on what was available. War time production used steel or aluminum tags, but later went back to brass during some periods. My 1958 720 Diesel has a brass tag, but it's still a 1958 model, not a 1935 ;-)
