Isn't that the truth? We have ran 12 row heads on class 6 Gleaner combines for years. Last time I checked, most combines weren't rated by header size, but things like HP, grain bin size, etc...which plays into how many bushels per hour a machine is capable of.

A 6 row at 5mph and a 12 row at 2.5mph is exactly the same thing, excepting operator fatigue and potential wear and tear from the extra ground speed.

The only real concern on a 12 row for most combines is whether or not it will lift it. Bigger cylinders are still an option on some machines for some reason, Gleaner has had the big ones standard since about 2005.
