Turns out our problem was the steel hydraulic line running through the frame. was leaking just enough that although it would push oil through and raise and retract cylinder if not hooked up to reel when hooked up it would leak internally in the frame. about 1/2 way in and enough dust and crap inside the tube that no oil leaked out and leak was not visible. heard it leaking when we worked the cylinder manually with swather shut down.
How to disassemble / rebuild this hyd cylinder?
