Subject: RE: Corn crop size estimate

Georgetown, Illinois
In the last 3 weeks I have driven to Colorado, going thru Kansas to west of Denver, it is not great once I got past Kansas City. I also went North of Danville Ill to Cheoygan, MI. It looks good most of that drive. I pulled some ears
on our farm in Georgetown, which I thought looked good, but found all the ears to have tip back. you can see the stress on the ears and they are small in size, I was a bit shocked, but there are a lot of ears, some plants with 2 smaller.
We did not have a lot of rain in July but did recently get some, so the beans look really nice. Corn is going to be hard to estimate, but in my mind I think we are going to see a smaller crop. Have a good day!
