Brooks, MN | Summary/Conclusion:
I've been running the tractor the past couple of weeks and I haven't had any issues. My issue was almost certainly a poor connection in a connection on a wire harness under the seat. I didn't see any visible issues, but I took them all apart cleaned them and put dielectric grease on them. I had also cleaned all of the grounds on the tractor, but up until this point still had the issue. The two ground connections on the back of the cab were the only two I'd done just prior to resolving this. I don't believe it was a ground issue.
There was one symptom I had forgotten to mention and that was the corner post display. I typically run it on the % Power/Slip screen. If you adjust the fan or the temp, the screen will momentarily switch to the temp/fan screen and then change back. When I'd have the issues, it was doing this on its own. It would regularly switch back and forth to this screen while I was running, even though I was not adjusting the temp/fan. It no longer does this.
I don't think it's related, but I had issues with my flashers. I had originally thought that the issues had to be related, but my flasher issue ended up being a bad flasher module. This is the little black box screwed to the right side of the fuse box. Once I replace that, my flashers have worked flawlessly.
As mentioned earlier in this thread by others, and after having talked to a mechanic, I'm told that my issue is usually in the wire harness connector that connects the tractor to the ATC harness. This is behind the seat on the back right side. You can reach it through the fuse box, but it is really only accessible with the seat off. I'm told that the heavier (brown/black) wires will heat up and get loose in the connection. The quick fix is the snip the wires and just splice in a wire bypassing the connection. I inspected my connection, cleaned and greased it, but I didn't see any visual issues, so I haven't done this step. If this issue occurs again, I'm going to reach in through the fuse box and try to wiggle that connection to confirm that this is the area and then look to splice in a wire.
