Coles County, Illinois | I have a standard 7330 and according to Deere it will run a vac on the pressure compensated valve. The trouble is now you'll be raising and lowering the planter with a standard valve. These valves lock in either direction and have poor feel to them. I ran my disk one fall with them and the help kept getting high temp alarms on the hydraulic because he'd lower the disk and leave the lever locked forward because he was used to having the lever return to neutral when released.
On a side note I plant with a 6420 and an 8 row vac. It has 2 valves similar to the one in the 7330 and a Deluxe valve on the #3 position. The deluxe valve is pressure and temperature compensated. I run my vac with it and my oil does not get nearly as warm and you don't have to adjust it as the tractor warms up to maintain constant vac levels. Using the vac on the other two valves the oil gets much hotter. Another issue is that the vac pressure remains constant during raise and lower cycles. The other valves you hear the vac motor speed up when raising.
