northeast ohio | Round 1 proposals were required to identify market pathways including industry partners that could clearly track the CSC through to markets that will eventually pull through dollars from end consumers. The federal dollars invested in this round are towards building supply chain strategies and partnerships that support producers implementing a very diverse portfolio of farm practices. Practices proposed could vary with the commodity, region and scale of operation but all needed to have a verification of their effectiveness per dollar invested. This is an alternative to carbon capture offsets.
