Chopped corn that gets ensiled for 3 to 4 weeks will have a much lower nitrate level than freshly chopped corn.

Baling corn high in nitrates will not lower the nitrate level because it will not ferment.


Even if run through a chopping baler and wet wrapped? Not enough moisture?
