| We are doing 1/3rd with the planter, 10% with the pre-emerge herbicide and the rest sidedress as soon as conditions allow it to get done. I think splitting it up into four applications sounds great on paper but in reality I don't think it's practical to try on any kind of large scale operation just due to the time requirements and weather issues. Also with that many passes your application costs are going to be pretty high, if the second and third side dress applications cost $10/acre each I think under most circumstances you'd be better off to put that money towards a higher application rate on the first sidedress pass. | |
