Our previous service truck had louvers installed in the front wall of the torch compartment, facing the back of the cab. You could also vent the back wall of the compartment into the open bed area. Might look better than cutting up a door. Probably could find some louvers at a building supply or camper supply house. Or just bend a small rectangle of sheet metal to make a narrow hood.
