Glad you got done - we just finished Friday also - with 25 acres to go we decided to get a newer 2208 corn head - tough stalks and worn knifes were making it impossible to keep going at times - and it was a great head last year (dry, not as tough stalks). However, after 7 years I've determined that pig stuff (load out, clean up, start new pigs, manure) will happen during harvest no matter when harvest is, so down time is becoming more costly. I can't be in 3 places at once and can't afford to have much custom done, so a 2003 head with adj deck plates and height control will be one less thing to worry about (it cost enough so it better). This year we didn't do much to the combine except install an air foil chaffer, but next year were rebuilding the feeder house with a 3 strand gathering chain and a razor rock beater and probably replacing lots of belts, chains and sprockets ('91 1680). Seems like it's been a tough year on everything.

Thanks,

Pat
