JD 5M will be a higher spec machine than a Powerstar, and much pricier. Closer comparison would be a NH T5. So just depends on how much you want to spend. JD is pretty proud of their machines, especially these days.


I will agree Deere is pretty proud of their machines these days when pricing. It seems the transmission is about all that is different on the specs between the current crop of Powerstars and T5's, but maybe I'm missing something.

It appears a Powerstar complete with loader is going to run about what a 5M is before adding the loader ready package and the loader in this area.

I guess a big question is the 5M worth the extra $$$$$?
