Permanently affected leaf morphology, lowered nutrient uptake, lower row counts on ears. Stress is bad for corn.
It may not be as detrimental on a percentage basis as heat during pollination but chipping away 1-2% per day the plant is curled up isn't my idea of no difference in yield.
