It will grow, but the thing is it heads out way behind winter wheat's normal time. If you hit heat, it doesn't matter if you have water, you will have a poor crop. If you hit enough heat with drought you won't have much of anything.
Some nice 70 degree weather and you can grow it just fine. 80 get's iffy. 90 better plant something else.
