What implements and widths did he pull with the crawler when he farmed with it?
He would pull a 4 and a 3 three bottom plows hooked together in the spring 4 bottom in the fall. 12’ disk, 14’ chisel, 18’ cultivator, 30’ rod weeders, and two 10’ Hoe drills in a hitch.
We used the D4E for the main tillage by the time I was old enough to drive tractor. The old 7U had no trouble at all with the rod weeders or the drills. 4th gear all day. |
