Saronville NE
My Dad has a '77 4030, we had to OH the motor at 4500 hrs because of electralisis (spelling). It never did use any oil or anything before that happened. I would say just keep the oil changed on a regular basis, keep the antifreeze changed and the PH level up, use some of JDs coolant conditioner, and you should be in good shape. Its an allright tractor, its his loader tractor, never has started very good in winter, has always seemed to gel up faster than any other trator we have ever owned. But has always been a good running little tractor with quite a bit of power for the hp and size of it.
