| 1466driver - 6/23/2022 20:57 We had a 2012 , I really liked it , at about 110k we had the check engine light come on and took it in , it needed new timing chains .
We have an 09 Enclave. Liked it until about 110k-120k or so. After that it was never able to stay out of the shop for more than a month at a time while it was my wife’s main vehicle. Honestly, when the timing chain needed to be replaced I would have been better off hauling it in for scrap than to spend money fixing it and every problem that followed.
We still have it as a second vehicle for running around close to home. It doesn’t have nearly as many problems if it only gets drove 50 miles/week. But it forever soured me on the GM “crossovers”. I’ll never buy another one. Aside from the poor reliability the gas mileage is atrocious. A 1/2 ton pickup can easily do better.
