It is not correct for your serial connection situation although the logic is the same in that certain pairs of pins need to be criss crossed. I fairly confident that is you cut the DB9 off and use the opposite sex and follow the wiring chart OR what I would do is make my own adapter to go between the cables you already have. This adapter will swap three pairs of pins and won't force you to ruin a good cable. |
