Know a guy who was having trouble with gas thieves. He was also a well known trapper. He bought a bear trap somewhere and threw it in his truck until somebody at the local watering hole noticed it and asked what he was going to do with it. He said he was going to put it by the tank and see who was stealing his gas. Word got around, no more stolen gas.
