| It is aggravating. Locks might slow them down. Night motion cameras, motion lights are cheap. Either solar, or as you likely have power. 50+ years ago I might have dug a hole, hinted something illegal. But that was stupid to hint even then. Honestly even if 100% legal. Who could kill another person over few hundred, thousand bucks?

I put up Camera hooked to my phone. It’s nice getting notice when activity. There are companies with reasonable monitoring fees.
As said realize you are not dealing with normal people. You do something you shouldn't get caught. You would be ashamed, mortified…. They get caught. They are mad at YOU. It’s YOUR fault. They want revenge…
It’s bothered me for a long time. All I do is make my stuff look less “attractive” to thieves. Put a light, park close to house, be known as night owl. That I am known to do 2am walks, show up next to kids car “parking” by my Grove.
On public road, I just was checking if they needed help. ;). Excellent night vision helps. Mention shooting a few skunks, raccoons at night in town. “I was sound asleep, heard noise, got shotgun, snuck outside, saw 3 raccoon eating spilled corn. Got two of them before they knew I was there”
I do average a dozen a year. Plus live trap. | |
