Your understanding is wrong. 99% sure they aren't using them in the e-series and newer. That was actually a selling point for moving to the e over the d. I believe the new fendt aren't using husco either. Agco really screwed up this controller situation, but I know for a fact they know how big of a warranty claim there is against them.
E series has same Husco remote valves. Have to go to the new MT851/856/862/867 type machine to get new remote valves. Those now have the same as Fendt wheel tractors.
