The 86’ has HEI. It’ll run like a raped ape downhill. Start lugging and 1,2, maybe 3 cylinders drop out. I’ve done plugs and wires without effect.
Distributor cap and rotor?

Pretty fresh, hours wise. Made a big “tune up attempt” two years ago getting ready for a project. New carburetor, etc, etc.
Very little change, and I’ve just been putting up with it.
Kinda recall a new distributor at one point so that shouldn’t be wobbly.
I’ll check compression before it comes out, but I’m resigned….
