south central WI | We ran the old twin pickup h&s mergers for years and they worked well with a 16' discbine. We traded for 2 h&s 35' continuous mergers last year when we switched to full width windrows. They work great also. They are no longer made due to some patent infringement I was told. The only issue we have is some random electrical things. The machine itself works great and picks up everything and leaves a smooth windrow usually. I've never ran an oxbo so can't compare it to that.
We traded up choppers during 1st crop this year. We ran 1 merger and it was staying ahead of a 9900i chopper, but there was road construction so I waited for wagons for long periods of time. He had to be running 10+ mph for most of the time. | |
