| I got a real education on a Dyna 4 in a 5455. After countless attempts at different dealers I finally had a tech who knew what he was doing who properly diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem. However, in talking with many Massey gurus it does appear the clutch switches can be problematic and have fixed many tractors with your issues. My tractor needed a new controller (computer). It would start flaking out after getting warm and start causing harsh forward to reverse shifts but never did it create a situation that the tractor didn't move. I replaced the clutch switch on my tractor when my issues first started just to try. It was fairly easy on the 5455 and the switch had already been updated to the new part#. If I remember the switch wasn't very expensive. I replaced the paddle switch on the steering column as well. I have a good used paddle switch if anybody needs one. | |
