coast of Maine | Super99,raised bed not the best for asparagus,probably work but they are a true perennial plant.They can last decades,will take 3 seasons before you can hit them hard.,harvest window of 60 days once established well.Strawberries will not get the sun as much with a 6 ft fern nearby.Worst might be any need for chem treatments for fungus /insects on strawberry which usually occur as you are eating the asparagus spears that are at same height as berry plants at that time.If doing berries try day neutral and follow recommended technics as different than june bearers.I think a small mound might be better for asparagus as they suck moisture deep . | |
