Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have just used the SMS software that I use for yield mapping. This suited my purposes but you may want something different.
I found that it is very helpful to have a border of boundary of some type. I found it easiest (with a PF3000) to use the load feature and name different lines with different names. For example, Load 1 might be BORDER, to make this I would literally drive around the perimeter of the field. Load 2 might be OLD TILE, Load 3 MAIN etc.
By having the "Border" on the maps you have a much clearer perspective of "where you are". By naming each load (tile type, size, etc.) differently, you can have SMS make a colored map based on loads. In that way the different situations will be easy to recognize becasuse of the color.
I also took some hand notes and actually wrote these on the maps when I printed them. They included actual Lat/Lon of some special locations that I might want to find at a later date as well as other information that might be forgotten down the road. |
