Thanks for bringing such depth to the discussion.

The question is: if you don't believe any of it and you don't even remotely care to learn about it, what difference does it make to you, outside of mocking those that do care? Are you that hard up for things to bother over?

You're welcome.
I have always regarded discussion forums as places designed to have discussions, and the more unique viewpoints you can bring, the more fruitful the discussion.

OK, since you've elected to open this can of worms, then it's your responsibility to define exactly how each one of those quotations is morality reprehensible. That's to say, how does it conflict with the culture within which it was written. Furthermore, I expect you to define to whom each passage was written and why. Yes, I'm asking you to explain the context within which each of those passages was written. I'm certain you have a better than average working knowledge of the various cultures and their attendant mores that existed in Egypt, the Levant, Mesopotamia and Rome between 1,400bc and 100ad. Piece of cake, right?

Any fool can toss out "stuff" as found in that Google search, so please, enlighten me with a proper discussion of those passages. I absolutely love a good, in depth Bible study!

So, go ahead, make your case.
