We really get a lot of help from the macarthur Study Bible, can get it in ESV or NASB.
Currently my Bible study group is going through https://replicate.org/books/foundations-old-testament/
A good overview, read a chapter a day, 5-days/week. Journal off of it and we meet weekly to discuss what we learned.
