Southeast Washington | You don't need a rotor reverse and the Gleaner like a CaseIH. The CaseIH has an oversized feederhouse to the rotor with the pinch point back in there. The Gleaner will plug in the feederhouse but there is no more restriction into the rotor so will continue to feed off if gets to there. The big rotor gear box has a socket you can turn backwards if the rare occasion arises. The feederhouse has a reverse to take care of the slug there.
The Gleaner has been solidly improving through the series except for us the electric shifting transmission has gone backwards big time. It appears to just be the electric shifting part is interior l inferior to the straight line hand linkage shifting they have had. Not sure what the cure is but we are on our 4th transmission going into the fourth year on our S98. They take them back to look at them and I see they have a software update for it so we will see this year what happens. Our extreme hills seem to find their weaknesses but they continue to work on trying to correct the problem. | |
