I had a code (actuator travel error). I asked for help here a little over a week ago on a 9510R. https://talk.newagtalk.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1055949&mid=9625059#M9625059 The turbo has a little over 5000 hours on it. Last June we had the same code initially and had the dealer out to investigate. They installed a new actuator, linkage and reset the learn calibration. The actuator recalibrates every time the key is cycled on. We now have Service Advisor so I did a lot of reading and asking questions. I fixed a divot worn in the vane unison ring with stainless welding rod. The end result, the actuator encoder count was too high (the actuator was traveling to far during each learn cycle as a result of worn parts) So 99.9% of the population would put the $6000 turbo on. I chose to be the 0.1% and think outside the box. If the actuator is traveling too far, limit its travel. My encoder count was 310 before any repairs. 304 is considered worn. After I installed this little gem (and verifying the new encoder count on SA which was 293), the code hasn't come back. The piece I fabricated is 16 gauge steel with two 5/16" NF nuts brazed on with 5/16" NF set screws. Blue Loctite keeps the set screws from moving.
