Completely misses the point. Farmers buying new equipment and putting a couple of hundred hrs on it. Then rationalizing the purchase because it make them “more efficient” or “less breakdowns” or the worst one of all “it’s tax deductible”. Hence the rationalization vs justification.

But thanks for weirdly injecting government into a discussion that has zero to do with it.


Funny, didn't see any of those explanations about relatively few farmers up above anywhere. Why is it any of your business and how do you know if it is rational or justified. Sounds like you are already campaigning for a job on one of those boards. If the supply chain and resources keep being disrupted, there is no doubt that the government will step in to allocate the resources where they are 'justified' and it will be decided by some committee (board) that not only has little working knowledge but will also favor certain individuals or corporations. Kinda like those that decided whether Walmart or mom and pop should stay open. Remember that?
