Kettle Moraine, WI | The justification to actively farm is controlling land to grow a crop or a barn to raise livestock and also have funds to control the farming process. The rationalization is if I obtain X farmed units, I may generate positive returns allowing me to operate for an extended period of time, aka "farming"
A parked tractor is not justified. It is rationalized that "it is there and will be available for a profitable task when needed." I can justify it only when I am using it for profitable processes. I can rationalize it's utility when parked.
Rationalization uses "if" statements. "If I can" "if the ...., then...."
Justifying are "yes/no" answers.
If I can use product X, then I may get more bushels to pay for it and a profit.
If I don't put seed corn in the planter, no, I will not get a corn yield so yes I should load the planter with seed corn.
