Southeast Washington | We've never had an issue planting peas with our Case 3430 air cart. Extra coarse roller and 165 pounds was never an issue. We did have trouble with bridging of large chickpeas and had to use graphite on them to feed through the rollers as they were very wrinkled and stuck together. One pea variety called for 240 pounds per acre and had to slow down to about half speed as the volume was so great the tube and opener wouldn't handle that much.
There are a lot of seed peas grown in the area for the processors in the Midwest under the watchful eye of the jolly green giant.
