 Eastern Washington State | Electric combines/tractors aren't coming any time soon, and for a multitude of reasons.
I got bored one day and crunched some numbers. Just to keep one 500 horsepower machine running 12-hours on, 12-hours off to charge would require around 2000 amps of 240 volt electrical service. Higher voltage would get the amps down of course of how many farms are setup for that? And that's just to charge one machine. | |
