NC Iowa | We have a 660 behind 4430. In hills I could use a little more power, but it's plenty of power. To get max capacity, especially while using cutter with to wet of hay, I run it right at pto speed. It's not quite as critical with dryer hay or cornstalks.
Are you running with chopper engaged in stalks? The first year we tried it both ways, couldn't tell the difference between the two when opening bales, but they were baled after chopping head. With chopper engaged on stalks it took more time per bale.
I think I was doing a stalk bale every 80 seconds.
We have 3 belt, I think the single belt would be nice, but not sure it would be any better.
Still very happy with Baler, it's never made an ugly bale yet | |
