| Ethanol was first put out a safer version or replacement of MTBE. It seems everyone has forgotten about MTBE. Since a lot of people are mad at the President for let e15 go during the summer, would MTBE be a viable safer version instead of e15? I don't think so. There are two articles below and a search for MTBE shows lots of information, true or not. Is there other alternatives that could be used instead of MTBE and ethanol?
Just interested in a discussion to learn more. I have used e10 since 1985. It did not hurt my 1981 S10 when we moved to Iowa. It did clean the water out of the tank on that S10.
