On the farm we have a pair of non fuel 4-1/2", a Fuel 4-1/2" and a 6" Fuel.

The 4-1/2" (must be FUEL, the non-fuel is NOT very good) is a great all around reasonably lightweight tool. It cuts well, the batteries last well, it grinds well.

The big one (the 6" Fuel) is much more of a grinder BUT it WILL overheat anything smaller than a 8.0 battery. 5.0's under anything but light use WILL overheat. With an 8.0 or a 12.0, it's a monster.

While the big one is heavy, it is well balanced. It is not that bad to use at least for me.

We actually like having both, they each have their place, but if forced to choose, I would again start with the 4-1/2" Fuel and later when you decide you must have one, spring for the 6".
