Subject: RE: Case IH 2366 vs. 1660

WNW Illinois, Henry Co
been running the 2366 for 5 years with 12 20" head and 4 years before that with 15 15" head. so you have the capacity with 2366 to handle a 20Ft 8 30"

the elevator boot section of the clean grain elevator is tear-drop shaped to allow corn to get by the chain to fully fill the paddles which is what limited the elevator (plus speed) of the 1660.

I have found the max of the elevator to be about 2300 to 2400 bu/hr.

the cross flow fan on the 2366 distributes the air on the sieve much more evenly than the paddle fan on th 1660.

The extro concave extensions on 23 also increase capacity

We run the settings as follows for corn:

Concave, 3
Chaffer, open enough to clean corn without carrying over
Shoe sieve, wider than chaffer
fan speed, 1250
rotor speed 380 wet (above 25%) 350 below 25

Only settings that should ever need changing would be the chaffer and the rotor, and rotor is not as much change

hope this helps.
