My advice would be to get some storage and then get a used automatic batch or continuous flow dryer. A used dryer can be an excellant investment.

I definitely would not recommend a portable batch dryer for the amount of corn you're planning to dry. We first began with a fan and heater on a bin, then went to a portable GT batch dryer, and then to an automatic batch dryer 13 years ago. The move to the auto-batch should have been done years before we did it.

We've tried the air drying and the jury is still out on it. Yes it will work if you can keep the grain leveled but at our age that's no longer an option. I prefer to pay the propane cost, get the corn in the bins, and not have a lot of worries.

On stirring systems, it seems half the folks either hate 'em or love 'em but there's no in-between. Therefore I'm not going to give them a chance. I haven't heard too many complaints about AB or CF dryers.
