Subject: RE: Colorado puts farmer in jail for running well

Iowa

Sorry for changing subject, but you might be able to tell me about a hog farm near Wiggins.  I believe it was a Sands unit about 1800 sows in size and built in the 70's or early 80's.  I'm just curious if it is still in operation or what happened to it.

Back to the subject, I believe the current political group in power has a chilling effect on investment.  It's scary to buy something today when they are threatening to make it illegal tomorrow.  The lost value to those affected by new regulations does not seem to be an issue to those in power.  Anymore, the government seems to be a bigger threat than competition, market swings, health, weather, and so on.  One can buy insurance for those risks.  I wonder if Loyds of London sells policies to protect against government distruction and what the premiums would be.
