Iowa | Before you get all excited about drying equipment, how many times in the last ten years have you had to dry corn, ( for us this is the first year) what does the elevator change to dry corn a point ( 2.3 cents a point here sell 15% store ~14%) cost to go from 20% to 15% 11.5 cents a bu. add taxes, interest on debt, propane you summer buy that you never use electricity insurance , grain spoilage and shrinkage, and you might find that the evevator costs arent as great as you think | |
